Marinette: Ukulele Strum Along

June 21 at 6 PM: Nursery Rhymes

July 12 at 6 PM: Traditional and Folk Music

August 2 at 6 PM: Christmas and Seasonal Music

Using three simple chords, you can learn to play many different nursery rhymes and songs on the ukulele. If you have a ukulele, bring it. If you don’t have a ukulele, use one of ours. This program is open to teens and adults who want to learn the basics of playing the ukulele.

In each of these sessions, Reference Librarian Mariel will introduce an online database useful in researching genealogy and local history. Practice along with her by bringing your laptop and genealogy tree questions.

At the last session of the season, members will give presentations about what they learned from the Brown County genealogy series and from a DNA workshop at the Wisconsin Historical Society.

Local genealogists meet at the Stephenson Public Library, Marinette, to learn from one another about resources and research techniques. New discoveries and presentations each month. Genealogists of all experience levels are welcome.
