Marinette: Ukulele Strum Along

 

August 2 at 6 PM: Christmas and Seasonal Music

Using three simple chords, you can learn to play many different nursery rhymes and songs on the ukulele. If you have a ukulele, bring it. If you don’t have a ukulele, use one of ours. This program is open to teens and adults who want to learn the basics of playing the ukulele.

August 9 from 6 to 7:30 PM: Recollection Wisconsin & Wisconsin Historical Society

In each of these sessions, Reference Librarian Mariel will introduce an online database useful in researching genealogy and local history. Practice along with her by bringing your laptop and genealogy tree questions.

Marinette: Borrowing eBooks and Digital Audiobooks

June 25 from 10 AM to 1 PM

Want to try out the new Libby App? Use it to check out and download books and audiobooks from the Wisconsin Digital Library. Borrow up to 10 books at a time; download them from any location with WiFi. Drop in for a primer about this app during these open sessions. Bring your smartphone or tablet and your library card and PIN to get started.
