Marinette: Story Times

Join us on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. for Preschool Story Time, ages 3-6; or on Wednesday mornings at 11:00 a.m. for Itsy Bitsy Story Time, ages birth to 3. Siblings are welcome at both story times

Preschool Story Time offers an opportunity for your child to interact with others at their own level and for parents/caregivers to connect with others. This chance to socialize is paired with fun experiences with stories, songs, rhymes, and activities that are the building blocks of early literacy.

Itsy Bitsy Story Time focuses on offering children and their parent or caregiver a chance to experience songs, movement, and short stories together. Play time at the end offers everyone a chance to socialize and visit. The familiar pattern of story time helps children feel comfortable in this new environment.

If you have any question about attending a story time, please contact the library

Solar Eclipse Events: ALL BRANCHES

Free Glasses: We are so happy to share the news that our libraries will have free solar eclipse safety glasses to pass out!  These will be available the DAY OF THE ECLIPSE.  We are not distributing them early as we need to be sure to have enough on hand at our events.   We look forward to seeing everyone on August 21st!  Please check with your branch library to see what time their event will begin.

Time: The eclipse lasts for several hours, so we understand that you may want to finish your observation off site.  That works!  You will be able to take your glasses with you that day.  The eclipse will begin at approximately 11:54 a.m. and end at 2:36 p.m.

Safety: For your safety, it is important to use undamagedunscratched safety glasses.  Even a small scratch can result in eye damage.

Options for other safe observation can be found here:

Directions for building a pinhole viewer can be found here:

Fun: For a solar game, check out “Solar Tricktionary” here:
