Marinette: The Stanley Toy Story: Fame to Fire

The Stanley Toy Story: Fame to Fire

With Author David Retzlaff

October 15 at 6 PM

Stephenson Public Library, Marinette

David Retzlaff, a lifelong resident of Oconto, Wisconsin, has made Oconto’s former Stanley Toy Company building his home since 2005. Since that time, David has done extensive research on the toy company from its start in 1946 to the point where it had become one of the nation’s largest cast metal toy makers until its closure after a devastating 1949 Christmas season fire. David put all of this research into a book, titled The Stanley Toy Story: Fame to Fire.

At this presentation, David will give a brief history of the Stanley Toy Company and talk about his research on the Stanley Toy Company. Books will be available for sale following the presentation.
